terms Search Office of Trademarks and Licensing Toggle navigation About Campus licensing Mountaineer fans Affinity Licensing Code of Conduct The three primary roles of App State’s Office of Trademarks and Licensing office are: Protect the trademarks, service marks, logos, symbols and indicia that belong to the university and that are associated with the values and traditions of Appalachian. Promote the university in a consistent manner by allowing only uses by officially licensed vendors and on quality products. Create revenues to fund student scholarships. Appalachian State University, established in 1899 in Boone, offers a challenging academic environment, energetic campus life and breathtaking location. With a student body of over 18,000, Appalachian offers more than 150 undergraduate and graduate majors. The small classes and close interactions create a strong sense of community, which has become an Appalachian hallmark.
